Upcoming Travel Restrictions on North Allen Street Between Adams Avenue and East Park Avenue

On Thursday, September 18, Ameron Construction Co., Inc. will be excavating North Allen Street between Adams Avenue and East Park Avenue for milling. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and will cause the entire street, parking lane, and the sidewalk to be closed. East Park Avenue will also be restricted to one lane. The State College Borough and the Community Diversity Group will host the Multicultural Unity Fair on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Municipal Building (243 South Allen Street).

Travel Restrictions on West College Avenue between Allen Street and South Fraser Street

On Wednesday, September 17, a crane will be placed on West College Avenue between Allen Street and South Fraser Street for work removing HVAC units from The State Theatre. Work will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 12 p.m. and will cause one lane to be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling near work areas.
