Movies Under the Stars Bike-In Movie Night: The Lorax

Ready for a night under the stars watching the big screen? Join the State College Borough for the Movies Under the Stars Series all summer long! 

In recognition of National Bike Month, Sustainable State College is inviting you to enjoy a movie under the stars at Sidney Friedman Park. Classic Cones will be on site. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy The Lorax outdoors with your friends, family, and community members. Those who bike to the park can enter a prize drawing. Bike valet will be available. 

This event is FREE and open to all ages. The movie will begin at dusk.

The Redevelopment Authority meetings on Wednesday, June 17, and Wednesday, July 22, have been canceled. The next Redevelopment Authority meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 19, at noon.

The State College Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

UPDATE: Upcoming Travel Restrictions on Thomas Street Between Adams Avenue and East Mitchell Avenue

Work for this project will now take place on Friday, May 26, weather permitting. 

On Thursday, May 21, Jeff Tate Paving Inc. will be occupying 721 Thomas Street between Adams Avenue and East Mitchell Avenue for work grading a parking lot to prepare for paving. Work will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will cause one travel lane, the parking lane, and the sidewalk to be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling near work areas. Questions about this project may go directly to Jeff Tate Paving Inc. by calling 877-202-2383.

Start the celebration off on Friday, June 19, with a Juneteenth Arts Exhibition at Woskob Family Gallery at 6 p.m. From noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, along the 100 block of Fraser Street, join in on the fun at the Block Party Celebration, featuring performers, vendors, and celebrations.
