Tactical Response Team

The Centre County Tactical Response Team (CCTRT) currently consists of 15 officers from 6 participating agencies in Centre County:

• Bellefonte Police Department - 1 member
• Ferguson Township Police Department - 2 members
• Patton Township Police Department - 3 members
• Penn State University Police Department - 3 members
• Spring Township Police Department - 1 member
• State College Police Department - 5 members

Training

The CCTRT trains together approximately twenty times per year.  Each training day was designed to emphasize three areas of proficiency when trained individually or as a whole to form the foundation for a comprehensive tactical team training program. The three areas include critical drills and tasks, search and entry tactics, and tactical precision marksmanship. 

Events

Events the CCTRT might be involved in include: 

• Serving high-risk arrest or search warrants 
• Barricaded gunmen 
• Dignitary Protection 
• Tactical over-watch for large events
