You’re invited to submit community and neighborhood event announcements!

The Borough welcomes and encourages submissions of community and neighborhood event announcements for our Community Events Calendar.

How to Submit an Event

To submit an event, visit any Borough Calendar page and select "Submit and Event." Make sure when filling out the form that "Community Events" is selected in the drop-down menu.


Event submissions must be approved by the Borough Administration Department prior to publication. To be approved, event postings should meet the following criteria:

  • The event should take place in Borough or involve a group associated with the Borough.
  • The event is open to the general public; anyone is welcome to attend.
  • Admission is free or the event is hosted by a non-profit at a low or discounted cost.
  • Be a neighborhood celebration or neighborhood/community-wide event, such as a block part or not-for-profit fundraiser to benefit the community. 
  • Include no commercial activity or promotion; the Borough cannot promote individual businesses
Approved events will appear in the Borough of State College Community Events Calendar, where the Borough also posts events sponsored by our partners in the community.

Sharing on Social Media

If your event is posted on Facebook, please provide a link to the event. Where applicable, staff will add it to the Borough's Facebook Events.
