The HOME Foundation (THF) is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1988 as Temporary Housing Foundation. THF is dedicated to a mission of providing affordable housing options to Centre County families. As a Community Housing Partnership member, THF is able to assist qualified families with necessary renovations, a "gap" financing subsidy as well as down payment and closing costs. This means a family can buy more house with a lower monthly payment. THF will work with buyers before, during, and after the purchase of a home to help as a partner in their success. Qualifying home buyers are offered free home buyer education and budget counseling to help them every step of the way.
