Centre Tax Agency is open for in-person assistance from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Our office is located on the 1st floor of the State College Borough Municipal Building. If you do not need in-person assistance, you can contact our office by phone at (814) 234-7120, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, or by email at centretaxagency@statecollegepa.us.

Drop boxes are located inside the vestibules of our front and rear entrances. Please use these secure drop boxes after hours for submitting tax returns, payments, and/or correspondence to the tax office. It is important that you place your item inside an envelope prior to using the drop box.

The deadline to file the 2025 Local Earned Income & Net Profits Tax Return is April 15, 2026. Centre Tax Agency offers two methods for filing the local tax return. One option is to file a paper form and the other option is to file electronically using our eFiling module. Centre Tax Agency is offering extended evening hours on the dates noted below to assist taxpayers with questions regarding the Local Earned Income & Net Profits Tax Return. Please call our agency between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at (814) 278-4709 to reserve a time.
