State College Police responded to a reported sexual assault at 3:32 am on April 3, 2011. The female victim, a Penn State student, reported she was walking on the 100 block of West Fairmount Avenue between 2:45 am and 3:20 am when the victim observed a group of males walking in the area. A short while later the victim encountered one of the males from the group walking directly behind her. The unknown male spoke to the victim and then attacked the victim by dragging her behind bushes. The suspect male removed the victim's clothing while sexually and physically assaulting her. The victim did not know this male.
The victim fled once the suspect male left the area. The victim sustained injury and was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment. The suspect is described as being a white male, medium build, college-aged, unshaven with dark colored hair.
