The Borough accepts applications to be placed on State College Borough Authorities, Boards, Commissions, and Committees year-round. Applications are held on file until vacancies occur or until the end of the year when new appointments are made by Borough Council.

A building permit must be obtained from the Centre Region Code Administration and approved by the Borough Engineer's Office and Planning Department, as well as the State College Borough Water Authority, if a water permit is required.

In order to conduct a business from a stationary location on a temporary basis, you must obtain a Temporary Retail Dealers (TRD) license. There is a per-day, per-week or monthly fee available for this license.
