The State College Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Saturday, February 18, 2018, at approximately 2:30 am. An SUV ran the stop sign at the intersection of East Calder Way and South Garner Street and struck a vehicle traveling on South Garner St.
 
Witnesses described the striking vehicle as a “metallic brown” SUV which was possibly a Subaru Forrester. A partial plate was given as possibly starting with “JDB”. The vehicle is reported to have light damage to the front of the vehicle.
 
The vehicle and driver were captured on video. The driver is an African American male with shoulder length black hair pulled back in a ponytail.
 
We are urging anyone who may be able to identify the male or have information regarding this incident to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or submit an anonymous tip through our website.
