HARB Design Guidelines Survey: We Want Your Feedback!
On December 18, 2017, the State College Borough Council passed Ordinance 2104 to establish a local Historic and Architectural Review Board (HARB) to oversee all contributing buildings in the Holmes-Foster/Highlands and College Heights Historic Districts that are undergoing additions to the main building, demolition of part or all of the main building, and new construction of a main building within the local historic district. This ordinance was based on community input given during the Heritage State College Project.
As the Borough’s Planning Department begins to implement the HARB Ordinance, they will be developing design guidelines that will be utilized by the HARB when reviewing projects and as an educational resource for anyone interested in historic preservation. This is the next step in the Heritage State College Project.
The Borough wants your feedback on what information should be included in the design guidelines. Please take 5 to 10 minutes to complete this survey on Engage State College and participate in the Heritage State College Project.
