Public Hearing Notice: Historical and Architectural Review Board Ordinance
The Borough of State College will be holding a public hearing on the proposed Historical Architectural Review Board (HARB) Ordinance on Monday, December 4. The proposed Ordinance would regulate the addition to or demolition of contributing buildings, or any new construction, in State College’s Holmes Foster/Highlands and College Heights Historic Districts.
The State College Borough Council and Staff will hear public statements on the proposed HARB Ordinance.
The Borough of State College launched the Heritage State College Project in September 2017, which is a community-focused education and planning process to consider how two of its most heritage-rich neighborhoods, the Holmes Foster/Highlands and College Heights Historic Districts, could be preserved for future generations. The Borough Staff utilized this input to develop the current HARB Ordinance that was proposed to Borough Council on Monday, November 20. You can view the proposed HARB Ordinance at www.statecollegepa.us/harb.
