During the State College High School football game on October 13th, State College Police responded to an assault on the 200 block of South Fraser Street.  It was determined that a13-year-old male State College Area School District student was shot in the face with an air gun.  The victim was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center and subsequently transferred to Danville Medical Center with injuries to his eye and face.
Police investigation yielded numerous witnesses that identified the suspect as a 14-year-old male SCASD student.  The State College Police Department filed a juvenile allegation for Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person, against this male.  He was subsequently taken into custody without incident and has been placed at the Central Counties Youth Detention Center.  The investigation is continuing.  At this time it is believed that this was an intentional attack, related to a prior dispute between the two youths.  The State College Area School District administration is also assisting in the matter due to it taking place during the Football game near school grounds.
