UPDATE: The individual referenced has been identified by State College Police. Police detectives have spoken with the individual and the case remains active at this time.

The State College Police Department took a report regarding a suspicious activity that occurred on March 24 at 7:20 am. A white male, operating a white vehicle with scratches, approached an 11-year-old girl on her way to her bus stop. The driver asked, “Are you walking to school?” She answered yes and the driver asked “Do you want a ride?” She said no and continued walking to her stop. The male said “Ok” and drove away. The white male is described as college-aged with brown hair and small to average build.
The incident remains under investigation by the State College Police Department. In addition, the State College Area School District is conducting a search for any video surveillance that may exist.
