Community Issue Review

State College Borough Council will receive feedback from residents on the proposed Collegiate Housing Overlay Zoning Amendment during the public hearing on April 13, 2015. In addition to the public hearing, residents can submit their views of the proposal through Engage State College.

A group of community residents participated in a Community Issue Review (CIR) in order to prepare a Citizen's Statement about this issue. CIR is an online decision-making process, facilitated by the Penn State College of IST's Geodeliberation Project. Between February 11 and 19, a panel of citizens were brought together to review this ordinance and consider the following question:

Will the proposed Collegiate Housing Overlay Amendment, which has been recommended by the Planning Commission, achieve its intended purpose?
