The State College Police Department requests that all businesses within its jurisdiction complete a business survey form, which can be found here. A business survey takes a few minutes to complete, and provides vital information to police, fire, and ambulance personnel in the event of an emergency, especially after business hours. The form contains information on alarm companies, and contact personnel that are key holders that business owners designate to respond in the event the business owner is unavailable.
Business Survey Forms can be completed online or by calling the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150 and speaking with a receptionist, or by asking any State College Police Officer to provide you with one.
The State College Police Department recommends that a new Business Survey Form be completed immediately upon opening for business, and updated annually due to changes in hours of operation, personnel, and other circumstances that affect your business security.
For more information, please contact the State College Police Department's Community Relations and Crime Prevention Section at (814) 234-7150 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Vacation Home Check Service
Going away on vacation, leaving town for the weekend, or getting away from the cold State College weather for the entire winter, the State College Police can give you added peace of mind. Police will conduct perimeter checks of your residence to ensure it remains secure. We check your home to prevent burglary, theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity. Officers checking your home also look for unusual circumstances around your property. For example, did the water main break from the cold weather snap over night? If problems are located, police will make the appropriate contacts to prevent further damage.
It's easy to register your home for a Vacation Home Check. Simply complete our online form or call the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150 and provide the necessary information to our receptionist.
The State College Police Department assumes no responsibility for damage to your property or residence. Patrols provide the Vacation Home Check Service when manpower and calls for service permit.
