On Saturday, April 23, 2011, at approximately 1:20 am two male Penn State students, both 22 years of age, were assaulted while walking in the 200 block of Highland Avenue. A group consisting of possibly ten males attacked the victims.
One victim was punched in the face and knocked to the ground, at which time several males began to kick the victim in the face and head. The other victim tried to run away, but was chased by several males who caught up with him near South Pugh Street, and knocked him to the ground. The attackers fled when told that the police were being called.
The first victim was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he is being treated for facial fractures. The second victim sustained minor injuries requiring no medical treatment.
The suspects are described as being college-aged white males, wearing formal dress wear.
